... and it's too troublesome to keep updating all different places. But I'll share bits of info with you guys here that I haven't mentioned on my blog. Awww, dun that just make you feel special? ^^ *cough*
Anyway, I finished up working on Erky Perky Season 3 about er.... maybe June last year... after that I stayed on for a bit doing a few little bibly bits and bobs... and was in and out of Ambience Entertainment up until about 2 weeks ago. I might still be doing the occasional small job because one of the kids live action shows I did concepts for got the green light. I designed puppets for them!
I've got a whole heap of mini projects I've set out for myself to keep busy while I hunt for a job. That way I'm not just sitting on my numbing gluteus. As you may have noticed, I've been painting portraits. I've been doing them black and white because I've been trying to teach myself value. Soon I'm hoping to move to colour. Then after that I might either move to painting animals or doing concepts of landscapes. Who knows. Anyway, the aim is to make a portfolio geared towards getting into the film!
I've also got an idea for an animated short. It's about shaving. Yup. It's pretty family friendly although not necessarily for kids... mainly for adults but definitely nothing too rude. It's a lot more slapstick than my usual poignant stuff AND it doesn't have dialogue. (Now, for me that's REALLY a new feat.) The aim is to design the characters, sets, props and storyboard it for my portfolio. Then maybe pitch it to some studio I work for down the track... and hopefully the idea will be bought. I'll be just happy to bring it to life.
I'm also doing something a little different... and that's writing a vocal track to an instrumental a friend and old workmate of mine is creating. More details on that later when things start actualising. I've been singing like passed midnight, probably waking up my household while I'm at it. XD But it's fun! It's a rock/progressive piece... and that's all I'll give away for now.
And on a final note, I'm doing character designs for a friend's animation project. It's a poignant piece about coping with a traumatic experience. Rushing to get that done before my holiday out of town for a week.
I've updated my main website (although I'm hoping to improve the layout) and switched blogs from blogspot to wordpress. I've also got a new section on my blog about voice acting and got heaps of sample clips you can have a listen to. That's it from me for now... perhaps for another year or so.
Adios!

hows going for you wif two jobs ?

I haven't actually worked for a while. Been a bit slack about looking for a job because I'm actually off to Melbourne for a week holiday next week. >_< I did however send in a portfolio to one studio today. So hopefully when I get back, I'll have a bit of momentum built up to start contacting other studios.
thankies, I have improved quite a bit.
yours however are on a completely different level XD
oooo interesting~ well cant say that animation is an easy job anywys i guess a holiday is a must. Do you really have to go to different studios? I mean dun you stay in one studio?

For film, you're usually hired for a period of a few months to a year... then you get reviewed and if you're good and they still need you, then your contract gets renewed - unless of course you want to move on to a new job. For TV, you're usually hired till the end of the season. If there's more work or a new project that they think they can put your skills to use, then they ask you to stay longer. I'm not too sure about commercial ads since they have a much faster turn over - I think it's half and half. Some people get asked to stay permanently, whilst others are employed for a few weeks to do their job as the company needs it.
ganbatte ne!
